Forest Farm Peace Garden Festival

Forest Farm Peace Garden is an established therapeutic and permaculture-inspired garden in Hainault, East London, running an Eco therapy programme to support mental health recovery, and aims to promote health and wellbeing, provide volunteering and build community.

They organised an open day / World Music Day on Sunday, 26th June, between 12 and 4:30pm and Beula and myself were there.

Transition Town Ilford was invited to be part of this open day and have a stall. We had a lovely, interactive stall giving information about our Transition Town, promoting the activities we have done and giving away free seeds .

It was a lovely day in nature at the beautiful garden in Hainault with live music, wildlife activities, talks & workshops, children's activities and craft & info stalls. 


We had over 180-200 people interested to find out more about the Transition Town movement and our Transition group in Ilford and some people joined to become members.

Our free seeds give away was extremely popular and we had people queuing to talk to us …. Great day!
