Forest Garden Festival 2023

Updated: Sep 21, 2023

Bringing the community together in Valentines Park!

Transition Town Ilford organized the Forest Garden Festival on 2nd September which turned out to be very popular by bringing the community together to enjoy nature and have fun.

We are excited to share with you all the fun and exciting activities that brought people together in our beautiful forest garden.

The forest garden tours took visitors on an adventure through the lush greenery and showed about the various plants and animals that call this place home. We had plenty of children's games and activities planned to keep the little ones entertained and engaged with nature.

From activities for children to workshops, food, herbal teas, river talks, pond dipping, and crafts, there was something for everyone.

Watch the video of how it happened here:

We had herbal teas made from herbs grown right here in the garden.

Cranbrook Blessings

We also had a series of river talks about the Cran Brook with lots of interest and we said a blessing to the Cran Brook at the end.

Pedal Powered music...

Great turnout!

Pond Dipping

Garden Tours

The festival was filled with amazing memories, experiences, and growth for the community.

Here's to many more festivals of celebrating nature, creativity and the joy of being together in a beautiful setting. It was all about connecting with nature and people and having fun, so come on down and join us next time. Until then, we are at the Forest Garden every Friday and Saturday from 10am to 12pm.

Many thanks to all our volunteers that helped run the event as without their involvement it wouldn't have been possible....
